I’m not me

I’m not me,
I just want to be free,
Flying above the sorrowful sea,
Not chased by the demons inside of me.

I’m not me,
When I want to be.
The darkness inside of me,
Engulfs the light around me!

I’m not me,
Your words are Greek to me.
Can you set me free?
I don’t want to bark up the wrong tree!

I’m not me,
If I fall, will you hold me?
We ain’t got forty three,
Life is fast, as a killing spree!

I’m not me,
But my creator knows me.
No matter how far I would be,
Somebody up there always loves me!

  1. Yes, indeed, how lovely is this verse, dear Preeths. Very lovely indeed. The despair, longing, and realization at the end are quite captivating and powerful. Yes, love!! I love this poem, as I do all of your poems. ❀❀❀
